Jer Sklar - Writer-Director-Editor-Composer
Jeremy (Jer) Sklar was born in Chicago, and after starting out as a theater actor, began his writing and directing career with the television pilot HOLLYWOODN’T for HBO. From there Jer was hired to write, co-produce and serve as the LA Unit Director for the $5M action-comedy FREERUNNER. Later, after becoming segment producer and a contributing writer on the FX Network show Totally Biased, he received his MFA in directing from DePaul University. His short films have been seen all over the world. STUDIO was nominated for the prestigious Jean Luc Goddard Award at the Calcutta International Cult Film Festival and his debut feature TOM OF YOUR LIFE, winner of the Best Picture at the Albuquerque Film and Music Experience, was called “one of my favorite films of 2020” by Richard Roeper of ‘At The Movies’ fame and that the film “tickled and entertained the brain” by auteur Paul Schrader. Jer has two new features slated for production in 2022 and 2023 respectively: BUFFALO FALLS, a dark thriller he is producing as well as his next directorial effort, BLUNDERBUSS. James Sharpe - Producer
James grew up outside of Chicago and first collaborated with Jer on the award winning 25-minute film STUDIO. Recently, James produced the award winning feature film THE GIRL IN THE STRAW HATE and is currently in pre-production on the thriller CARRY THE DARKNESS as well as working on producing Mr. Sklar’s next feature, BLUNDERBUSS, currently in development. James has a diverse background in managing multi-million dollar ad budgets, producing features, commercials for multinational corporations, and short form content (Big Fork, Studio, Poor Arthur). His films have played at domestic festivals in Chicago, Buffalo, San Jose, Beverly Hills and Memphis, and internationally in Belarus and India. Chuck Sklar - Executive Producer
Emmy Award-winning writer-director Chuck Sklar is known for comedy writing on various shows, including The Chris Rock Show, Late Night with Conan O’ Brien among many others. In 2012, Sklar and Chris Rock produced Totally Biased for the FX Network. In addition to writing on the feature film GOOD HAIR and the syndicated series Everybody Hates Chris, Chuck has served as the head writer for The Late Show with James Corden and was head writer for The 88th Academy Awards hosted by Chris Rock and The Emmy Awards 2021 hosted by Cedrick The Entertainer. Chuck is currently in development on his feature film directorial debut CAUGHT STEALING with Chris Rock attached as well as working on the development of Satori!Studios BLUNDERBUSS.
